Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko made the professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. Her next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities in the final clinch through knees to the body. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
